Trump used his Truth Social platform to deliver his tribute on Thursday afternoon

“Melania and I are extremely saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” he wrote on his TruthSocial platform.

Together with our family and fellow Americans, we extend our deepest condolences to the Royal Family and the people of the United Kingdom during this time of profound loss and grief.

“Queen Elizabeth’s magnificent and historic reign provided a tremendous legacy of peace and prosperity for the United Kingdom,”

Trump saw the Queen twice as president, first for tea at Windsor Castle in 2018 and again for a full state visit in 2019.

He concluded, “May God bless the Queen, and may she reign forever in our hearts.”
