The tenure of Trevor Noah on “The Daily Show” has ended.

Since 2015, the South African comedian has presented a late-night talk program.

The final episode, which aired on Thursday evening, featured a “Farewell to Trevor” from reporters of “The Daily Show,” including Michael Kosta, Desi Lydic, Ronny Chieng, Roy Wood Jr., Dulcé Sloan, and Jordan Klepper.

After the 25-minute roasting session, Noah expressed his gratitude to the audience for seven years of support.

“In all sincerity, and most importantly, I am grateful to each and every one of you (the fans)”

Noah, who joined the crew as a contributor in 2014, recalled the modest audiences during the start of his hosting career, when he took over for Jon Stewart at the news desk.

“When we first began the performance, it was impossible to fill the audience. Noah stated, “I no longer take this for granted in any way.” “Every seat that has been occupied to observe anything I’m doing is mine. I am constantly grateful.”

The entire performance was nothing but laughing and smiles. In each section, the correspondents shared their best moments with the comic and their impressions of the show’s relationships while roasting him.

Noah’s eyes filled with tears as he honored the black women in his life at the conclusion of the program.

“I’ve often been attributed with having these brilliant ideas, and people are always saying, ‘Oh, Trevor, you’re so intelligent.’ Who do you believe instructs me, who has molded, created, and nurtured me? I constantly tell people, from my mother to my grandmother to my aunt, if you actually want to learn about America, you should speak with black women. Black women cannot afford to F–k about and find out, unlike everyone else.”

Noah also expressed his appreciation to his critics, those who pointed out things they did not like: “Even the haters, we still got the ratings, so thank you.”

In January, “The Daily Show” will resume production with an A-list lineup of guest hosts to replace Noah, including “Saturday Night Live” star Leslie Jones, comic Chelsea Handler, and former U.S. Senator Al Franken.

Noah has not specified his future plans, but he will spend some time with loved ones and travel the world.

Noah told Daily Show contributor Desi Lydic, “This is a period where I’ll be spending more time with my family, friends, and traveling a bit more.” “I’m not leaving for a movie, I’m not leaving for another show, and I currently have nothing scheduled.”

Noah took one more swig from his mug before placing it beneath his desk as the camera turned to the applauding crowd.
