Following notice from the Federal Ministry of Works on the Ijora Eastlink/Causeway project, the Lagos State Government has stated that traffic would be redirected at Ijora from Friday, September 2, till Sunday, September 4, 2022.
In a statement, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, the commissioner for transportation, promised motorists that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority will effectively control traffic on the impacted roads.
It said that since the flexible pavement connecting the Eko Bridge would be being renovated, drivers will be detoured inside the National Theatre to reach Ijora and Costain.
In order to minimize inconveniences, Oladeinde urged the populace to work with the government. He also pointed out that the State’s current programs are focused on building and maintaining an effective transportation infrastructure.
