The government’s attempt to prevent the murderous mother of Baby P from being released from prison for the first time in seven years was unsuccessful.

According to The Sun, Tracey Connelly, who is now 40 and weighs more than 20 stone, was transferred from HM Prison Low Newton in County Durham on Wednesday to begin a covert new life at a bail hostel.

The bad mother will have to abide by 20 licensing requirements, which include donning an electronic tag and disclosing all of her relationships.

In addition, she will have her Internet usage monitored and be subject to a curfew.

She was approved for release by the Parole Board in March due to a minimal risk of reoffending.

But within hours, Dominic Raab, the justice secretary, promised to obstruct the decision, calling the infamous case “harrowing.”

In a horrifying case that rocked the nation, Connelly was sentenced to at least five years in prison in 2009 for either causing or permitting the death of her tormented 17-month-old son Peter.

After being freed in 2013, she was sent back to jail in 2015 for selling pictures of herself in bikinis and for violating the terms of her license by “creating intimate personal relationships” online.

Connelly’s acts, according to Mr. Raab, were “pure evil,” and he went on to say that the parole board needed a major revamp, including a ministerial check for the worst offenders, in order to better serve and defend the public.

Despite being on the at-risk registry and having 60 visits from social workers, police officers, and healthcare specialists over the course of eight months, Peter, also known as Baby P, had sustained more than 50 injuries.

Steven Barker, Connelly’s lover, was given a minimum of 32 years in prison in 2009 for killing the 17-month-old through torture, while Jason Owen, his brother, was given a six-year prison term for permitting the child’s death.

Reviews revealed lost chances for authorities to save the toddler’s life had they appropriately responded to warning indicators.

Due to concerns that they were being neglected, three of the kids, including Peter, were placed on Haringey’s Child Protection Register.

Connelly, who covered up her son’s maltreatment, was sentenced to an indefinite prison term in 2009 for a minimum of five years after she admitted to being responsible for her son Peter’s murder.

After being released on parole in 2013, she was later called back to prison in 2015 after it was discovered that she had emailed lewd pictures of herself to fans who were fixated by her popularity.

After two prior reviews in 2015 and 2017, the Parole Board reexamined her case in November 2019 but decided against either her parole or transfer to an open prison.

The prisoner filed a petition in 2019 asking to be released from custody so she could attempt to spend Christmas with her boyfriend.

She informed her fellow inmates that she wanted to move in with Paul, a 37-year-old insurance salesman, in Reading after falling in love with him.

The perpetrator said that she was prepared to be released from prison as a “changed woman.”

Connelly argued that because she had known him for a long time, their relationship was sincere.
