In a split-decision victory, Tommy Fury emerged victorious over Jake Paul in a Saturday boxing match held in Saudi Arabia.

Despite a dramatic eighth-round knockdown, Fury managed to win with scores of 76-73 and 75-74, while one judge ruled in favour of Paul.

With this loss, Paul’s professional record stands at 6-1.

The fight was designed to include a rematch clause if Fury won, which Paul has confirmed he will exercise following his loss.

As a result, we can expect to see these two boxers competing against each other later this year.

In the first round, Fury (8-0) displayed a confident performance, using his jabs effectively and landing a potentially round-winning combination in the final seconds.

Paul found his range in rounds two and three, connecting with his signature overhand right as Fury abandoned his jab and reach advantage.

However, Fury made a comeback in round four, displaying more combinations and putting up his best performance of the fight.

The referee controversially deducted one point each from Paul and Fury in rounds five and six, respectively, becoming the center of attention.

The fight ended incredibly close and was decided not by a dramatic Paul knockdown in the final round but by Fury’s excellent boxing skills as he closed the round and won the fight on the judges’ scorecards.
