Robert Jenrick stated that migrants, especially those who cross the English Channel in small boats, would be housed around the nation to “ensure more impartiality.”

It follows a warning to the Home Office that it could face hundreds of compensation claims for the wrongful detention of migrants kept for weeks in a processing center in Manston, Kent.

Mr. Jenrick informed the members of parliament, ‘We are… attempting to acquire housing in a significantly broader spectrum of municipal governments than in the past. Historically, the issue focused on urban areas.

“We are currently attempting to acquire housing in smaller cities, towns, and in certain instances, rural areas.”Richard Martin, co-owner of the Blazing Donkey Country Hotel near Sandwich, Kent, turned down a £1 million opportunity to house asylum seekers - saying he 'couldn't think of anything more absurd'

Robert Jenrick, the immigration minister, announced today that thousands more asylum seekers will be sent to rural areas (pictured: a group of people waiting to be processed after being hauled into Dover).

Richard Martin, co-owner of the Blazing Donkey Country Hotel near Sandwich, Kent, refused a £1 million offer to host asylum seekers, stating that he “couldn’t imagine anything more ludicrous.”

This unfortunately means that as long as the numbers remain so high, more sections of the country will suffer this problem, but it does assure better fairness in how we as a nation address it.Mr Martin, whose family have owned the Blazing Donkey (pictured) near Sandwich in Kent for 30 years, said the Government’s proposal was ‘farcical, bordering on the offensive'

He was responding to Jonathan Gullis, Conservative MP for Stoke-on-Trent North, who claimed that private contractor Serco was “dumping” migrants in hotels in his region.

At least 37,000 asylum seekers, the vast majority of whom landed in small boats, are currently staying in hotels at a daily cost of £5.6 million. Mr. Jenrick stated last week that he wished to eliminate the usage of hotels and replace them with “simple but decent” housing. It may see the development of massive complexes comparable to those in Germany and Greece.

It occurred after the proprietor of a country hotel turned down a £1 million offer from the Home Office to lodge Channel migrants, claiming that it would have wrecked his business.

Richard Martin, whose family has owned the Blazing Donkey near Sandwich, Kent, for the past three decades, described the government’s proposal as “farcical, bordering on nasty.”

Small-boat migrants would have occupied all 27 of the hotel’s rooms, including those with four-poster mattresses, luxury baths, and hot tubs that ordinarily cost £275 per night.

Mr. Martin, whose family has operated the Blazing Donkey (pictured) in Kent near Sandwich for 30 years, described the government’s idea as “farcical, bordering on nasty.”

Mr. Martin stated that he was paid $1,080,000 for a 12-month occupancy guarantee at 100 percent. “We have worked our asses off to make this a profitable business, so we were outraged when this agency representing the Home Office contacted us,” he said.

We would have had to lay off the majority of the 25 employees on the normal payroll, which rises to 50 during the wedding season due to the banquet crew. So we immediately rejected the offer.

The hotelier stated, ‘We would have had to disappoint about 200 brides and grooms who had already booked us as their location, and return $500,000 in deposits overnight.

That was absolutely impossible. I was offended by it.

Mr. Martin remarked, “I have no idea why they consider us to be fit for asylum seekers.

There appears to be no synergy whatsoever between the four-poster beds and the hot springs. Our reputation would have been destroyed in an instant.

The Department of the Interior declined to respond.

Four Albanian nationals were detained after a VIP migrant boat landed on a beach in Kent. Monday found the grey rigid inflatable boat on St. Margaret’s beach near Dover.

Small vessels are utilized by smugglers to provide a customized service to clients ready to pay a higher price to enter Britain.

They provide safer circumstances than conventional migrant vessels, which are frequently overcrowded.

A spokesperson for the Home Office stated that two individuals who drove away with two migrants from the boat the following day were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to aid unlawful immigration.
