This horrifying scene shows a Canadian construction worker hanging precariously from a crane at a job site.

The unidentified Toronto man can be seen in the 39-second breathless video hanging on for dear life to a rope while a rock is lowered to the earth above him.

Two individuals shouting in an unsuccessful attempt to halt the machinery appear to be on the building site across from the worker.

The worker shouts in panic and swings his legs in the air while clutching the rope with both hands.

One of the witnesses oddly orders the worker to “let your hard hat fall,” pointing out that holding onto the machinery will hurt his case.

The employee complied and allowed the hat to fall as the terrible man proceeded to plummet to the earth.

On Tuesday, the Instagram account @my s1 shared the now-famous video, which has received more than 73,000 views and thousands of comments.

The man was working at a construction on Front and Simcoe Streets and was uninjured when he eventually struck the ground. He is an employee of PCL Constructors Canada.

The business claimed that after he attached a load to the crane, the worker’s hand became entangled with a tagline.

The incident is the subject of an investigation by Canada’s Ministry of Labour.

A stunned man can be heard asking, “How the f*** did this happen?” in the video.

As the worker got closer to the ground, another person appeared to try to get the operator’s attention by yelling at him to stop the machinery, but was advised by the person standing next to him to keep quiet so as not to frighten the worker.

Jesus Christ, holy ****. One of the witnesses said, “Somebody tell [the operator] to stop before he is crushed.”

The individual was a PCL Constructors Canada employee, the company said in a statement to Daily Commercial News.

The statement continued, “We can confirm that an incident involving a rigger who became entangled with a cable after hooking a cargo took place at our site located at Front and Simcoe yesterday.”

He was carefully lowered to the work surface and thankfully wasn’t gravely hurt. Our first goal is the community’s and all employees’ safety. The incident is presently the subject of an investigation, and we are coordinating with the relevant authorities.
