There will be no formal investiture for Prince William

There won’t be a formal investiture ceremony for Prince William as the Prince of Wales.

Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth, the 40-year-old royal was awarded the contentious title, but Kensington Palace has now stated that he won’t have an investiture “anything like his father did” as Prince of Wales.

According to a spokeswoman, the current focus is on strengthening trust with the Welsh people and showcasing the vibrant Wales of today.

“The investiture is not yet scheduled,”

More than 35,000 individuals have signed a petition asking for the title to be abolished, with supporters claiming that the last native Prince of Wales passed away in the Middle Ages.

In a solemn ceremony held at Caernarfon Castle in 1969, the queen formally invested King Charles, who had served as Prince of Wales for more than 60 years.

Charles prepared for the occasion by learning the Welsh language and researching Welsh history.

I, Charles, Prince of Wales, do become thy liege man of life and limb and of earthly worship, and faith and truth I shall carry unto thee, to live and die against all manner of people, he stated in Welsh during his investiture. God please assist me.

On Tuesday afternoon, William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, who are visiting Wales for the first time since receiving their titles, landed at Anglesey, northwest Wales.

The royal couple visited the crew and volunteers at the RNLI Holyhead Lifeboat Station, where they really spent three years following their first marriage.

William and Catherine are also expected at Swansea’s St. Thomas’, a renovated church that serves the community.

The queen’s trip to Wales will be her first public engagement since the official time of mourning after the monarch’s passing on September 8 in Scotland.
