The serial-criminal son of an Arkansas US representative is back in jail after being busted for carrying meth while on probation for past drugs convictions.

James Womack, 34, was arrested at his house in Rogers on Wednesday after he was spotted attempting to hide a container with suspected methamphetamine when police arrived at his home for a probation home visit, according to Fox 16.com.

Womack, whose father is GOP lawmaker Rep. Steve Womack, attempted to sit on the case that police subsequently discovered contained meth, many syringes, and nine grams of meth.

The parolee argued to the authorities that he was taking meth and not selling it upon his detention, their arrest report noted.

Womack is currently at Benton County Jail with a bail set at $15,000.

He been charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance-methamphetamine.

The 34-year-old is no stranger to the criminal court system as he was previously arrested in 2018, then later sentenced to nine years in jail for several drug and firearms offences.

He was freed early in 2020 due to COVID restrictions aimed at emptying jails of non-violent offenders as the epidemic began to surge, but now appears to have reoffended.

‘Like so many families across this nation, our family has been battling with a loved one’s addiction.

The most recent arrest of our son adds to that pain,’ Steve Womack stated in a statement at the time.

He continued, ‘We love him completely; nevertheless, as an adult, he is accountable for the choices he’s made.

We honor and respect the criminal justice system that will decide his fate.’

In 2012, Womack was arrested many times for breaking his parole after he was imprisoned at Benton County Jail for selling six grams of meth in 2010, according to 5 News.
