Many of us have nosy neighbors just next door. But who wouldn’t be tempted to sneak a peek out the window now and again when your neighbor is Ed Sheeran?

The artist, known for songs like Thinking Out Loud and Shape of You, has a helicopter at his £3.7 million house in Suffolk, which is known as “Sheeranville,” but he doesn’t really have a helipad to go with it.

However, the private area of land he uses to launch his helicopter seems to be a helipad. That seems to be what Ed’s neighbors believe, at least.

The Town and Country Planning General Development Order of 1988 states that a “temporary” site may be utilized for helicopter takeoff and landing as long as it is not used for more than 28 days in a single calendar year.

He and his wife Cherry Seaborn dwell in Suffolk, and their home has five homes, a football field, an orchard, an outdoor kitchen, a gathering place, and a “wildlife pond” that was the focus of complaints the previous year.

The helipad behind Ed Sheeran’s home is being eyed by the neighborhood.

Only 28 times a year are permitted for the performer to use it, and they are keeping track of his visits.

Pictured is Ed Sheeran’s Sheeranville, the most Googled celebrity house in the UK, which is located in Suffolk.

Sheeran will need to apply for retroactive planning clearance if he goes beyond the 28-day limit, which will probably be expensive.

Additionally, Ed should take this concern seriously, according the sources cited in The Sun.

If they discover the singer sneaking in a 29th landing at any time this year, his neighbors want to inform on him.

According to insiders, they are keeping track of each time he arrives and goes.

The source was cited as saying, “Some of Ed’s neighbors have started tracking the amount of times he uses a helicopter.” When it comes to his residence, he never seems to get a break.

Some of them had already made a scene over his intentions, and now they are keeping watch from helicopters. Ed will need to get retroactive planning clearance for the helipad if he landed more than 28 times per year.

Additionally, Ed’s home contains a football field and a “wildlife pond.”

He described a nature pond as being gray, full of tadpoles and other swampy things when asked what it was. I do swim in it, but it isn’t a pool. Nature is the cause. Stormzy entered.

If Ed had erected a pool, it would also have needed planning approval.

I really believe people ought to mind their own business,” he said.

It was a rare opportunity to go inside Ed Sheeran’s £3.7 million “Sheeranville” mansion in East Suffolk, which included a massive Snorlax plush.

Ed has given his 32 million followers tinier peeks inside his life over the years, and in his music video for Put It All On Me with his wife Cherry Seaborn in 2019, he gave them a peep inside their £19.8 million Holland Park estate.

Ed has received complaints from his neighbors before.

He was criticized by council members in 2018 for having an outdoor sauna and a pub-style sign on a Grade II-listed barn.

He was instructed to get planning approval or have them taken out. Chapel plans were also rejected until a redesigned one was authorized last fall.

According to the application, expanding his garden “would have little or no harmful influence upon the amenity of neighboring residences.”

Paul Smith of Apex Planning Consultants has raised a concern on Sheeran’s behalf, however.

The singer was willing to make concessions, Mr. Smith noted, but the new garden would “appear out of place in the hamlet” and “would expand the settlement into the countryside in an unplanned and unnatural fashion.”

Before the article was published, MailOnline contacted Sheeran’s representatives for comment.
