The British Embassy in Buenos Aires is looking for candidates to fill the role of Honorary Consul for Prosperity and Economic Affairs in the Salta province.
This honorary position will assist the British Embassy in developing partnerships in the provinces of Salta and Jujuy.
We are looking for someone with a solid reputation in the community, good English skills, and, ideally, links to the United Kingdom.
They should have substantial personal contacts in the political and commercial communities; they will be expected to help the Ambassador and Embassy team in contacting local political and economic leaders.
The designated person will be expected to help organize visits to the region by the Ambassador and Embassy employees.
They will also serve as a point of contact for British businesses operating in the region, assisting them in understanding the business environment and connecting with possible business partners.
They will not be expected to help British nationals with issues such as tourism or passports.
Before the end of Sunday, 3 July, applicants should submit a CV and a personal statement of no more than 1000 words in English outlining their motivation for applying and suitability for the post.
