The bomb at Northeastern University had a strange “manifesto.”

According to reports, the parcel that exploded at Northeastern University and sent a male staff member, 45, to the hospital with minor hand injuries was in a “Pelican case” and included an odd “manifesto.”

According to WBZ I-Team sources, the parcel that exploded at Northeastern University was in a “Pelican case” and included a manifesto raging against virtual reality and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. This was said in a tweet by WBZ-TV News anchor David Wade.

The item, which exploded at 7:18 p.m. on Tuesday, was sent to the school and exploded after being opened by a staff member, according to Northeastern University.

According to officials, NBC Boston, the box was brought to the Leon Street building at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday and exploded soon after.

The Northeastern University Police Department announced that Holmes Hall was secured shortly before 10 p.m., three hours after the incident.

The employee, a 45-year-old man, was sent to the hospital with a minor hand injury, according to the police.

According to the bomb squad of the Boston Police Department, a search turned up a second identical item that was eventually determined to be safe.

When the package exploded at around 7.20 p.m., the Boston Bomb Squad, Boston Police, Boston Fire, and Boston Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the Leon Street incident.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said that she is taking the event “extremely seriously” at a news conference for the media.

From our youngest learners to our college students and university employees, our city is home to everyone’s young people, according to Mayor Wu.

The safety and well-being of all of our young people here is thus of the highest significance, and we want to make sure we highlight that.

At 7:55 p.m., Holmes Hall was shut down, and a warning to stay away from the area was conveyed to the Boston campus.

The university informed Northeastern students that evening courses are postponed due to the continuing investigation at the Behrakis Health Sciences Center, Shillman Hall, Ryder Hall, Kariotis Hall, Dockser Hall, and West Village F.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University, as well as other nearby universities, have expressed concern.

Northeastern University explosion, according to a tweet from MIT. The MIT Police are warning everyone to exercise caution. Please inform us of any shady packages.

“Harvard Alert: HUPD is aware of reports of an explosion of a suspicious package at Northeastern,” the university tweeted.

We are collaborating with the police and stepping up patrols on Harvard campuses.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we ask that members of the community call 617-495-1212 to report anything unusual.”

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is presently collaborating with Boston Police, according to a 7News reporter who spoke to local officials on the scene, and terrorism has not been completely ruled out.

“FBI and Boston Police are presently working together…” The tweet said that it is still too early to determine whether or not this is connected to terrorism.

According to Boston Police, the facility was evacuated after the explosion at Holmes Hall on Leon Street occurred on campus.

When Holmes Hall was evacuated, Jacob Isaacs, a student there, told 7News that there was considerable uncertainty about what had transpired.

Issacs said, “We were in class when we saw two officers enter the building, and as soon as we looked out the window, we noticed a fire engine with the lights on blazing.

The fire alarm immediately began sounding as soon as our instructor said, “I must check what’s going on.” He saw that a police vehicle and a fire engine were leaving the building.

Isaacs noted that prior to seeing the arrival of first responders, they did not hear anything that sounded like an explosion.

The Northeastern University Police Department is requesting that people “avoid the area” as they conduct their investigation into the event.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, therefore it is still unknown how the box got there.
