Man allegedly tries to break into a family’s home using a saw and threatens them with violence.
According to the footage posted on Twitter, the man is seen using an electric circular saw to enter the property by cutting through the door.
The alleged incident took place in Ireland and, according to the person who posted it, shows a landlord attacking his tenants.
The clip was posted by Dr Liqa Ur Rehman, a doctor and activist who expressed frustration at what he saw and made efforts to contact the Garda on Twitter.
Doctor’s family threatened with eviction
Dr Liqa Ur Rehman wrote that “An immigrant doctor with a family of two young kids was brutally attacked by his landlord [who] threatened to evict his house.
His and his family’s life is in severe danger”.
The upsetting footage shows the perspective of a panicked person inside the house as they attempt to keep the man, who uses crutches, out.
The man with the saw repeatedly says “go to hell,” adding “I’m mad at you”.
During the confrontation, he approaches the filmer with the saw blade running, and says, “You think I wouldn’t do it? I’ll f****** split you open, you b******.”
The Garda aware of the incident
Dr Liqa Ur Rehman added, “Full video is more distressing to watch where he has made racist and blasphemous comments as well.
This has been his second attempt to break into the house.
The doctor’s wife & children tried to jump out of the window to save themselves.”
The Garda told the Daily Star it refused to comment on material posted on social media.
It, however, added: “An Garda Síochána are aware of a video in circulation online and can confirm that personal contact has been made with a private citizen.
Enquiries are ongoing at this time.
Any person who believes they have been mistreated by any member of An Garda Síochána is entitled to make a complaint to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission.”
