Following Gov. Ron DeSantis’ approval of a law, a variety of consumer items will be tax-free in Florida in the coming months.

According to NPR, House Bill 7071 will grant 10 sales tax holidays for a variety of commodities such as school supplies, gas, and diapers in reaction to the rising cost of living in the United States of America following the COVID-19 outbreak and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Florida House Speaker Chris Sprowls labelled the move as “the largest middle-class tax relief package in the history of the state.”
