Although it’s unclear precisely how long the youngster was inside by themselves, officers were informed that they had been in the car the whole day.

Before 3 o’clock in the afternoon, the owner of the car—a guy acquainted to the kid, according to investigators—called the police. The guy is thought to be the child’s father.

Glenfield has lately seen extreme temperatures, with the suburb recording 34C on Thursday.

NSW Police confirmed the death as it was revealed officers had to smash a window to reach the child

Onlookers who were believed to be the child’s relatives could be seen sitting on the ground next to the vehicle in video footage from the incident.

One guy was seen sobbing while covering his face with his hands.

Emergency services were summoned to Railway Parade in Glenfield at about 3 o’clock on Thursday, February 2, 2023, according to reports that a kid was not responding.
