Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has been added to the Stormers’ 28-man roster for their upcoming two-match trip of the United Kingdom.
The Stormers departed Cape Town for a two-match journey in which they will face Glasgow Warriors and London Irish.
The team will travel to Glasgow on Wednesday in preparation for Sunday’s Vodacom United Rugby Championship showdown against the Warriors.
The following Sunday, they will face Irish in a European Champions Cup rematch, before returning to Cape Town to prepare for Saturday, January 21’s match against ASM Clermont Auvergne at Cape Town Stadium.
Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Stefan Ungerer were chosen for the squad after recovering from injury, while Imad Khan and Simon Miller are on their maiden tour and are in contention to make their Stormers debut.
John Dobson, head coach of the Stormers, says that the depth of the team will be put to the test during this two-week tour.
This will be a true test for us, since we will be playing in conditions radically different from what we have seen at home over the last month, according to Dobson.
He continued, “There are several veteran players missing due to injuries, but we are pleased to see what the new players can give and look forward to the opportunity for the entire squad to grow and learn together on tour.”
