South Carolina woman diagnosed with brain tumor after being pulled over by cops who thought she was drunk

A woman was pulled over by police on suspicion of drunk driving on December 2, 2022, in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Tamara Hall was reportedly swerving and repeatedly hitting the road’s shoulder when two officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department pulled her over.

Hall informed the officers that she was suffering from a severe headache. Suspecting that Hall was in the midst of a medical emergency, the officers transported her to a nearby hospital. Upon evaluation, doctors discovered that Hall had a malignant brain tumor, which required immediate surgery.

Hall recently reached out to the police department to thank the officers, whom she credits with saving her life. The Mount Pleasant Police Department posted about the incident on its Facebook page, revealing that Hall had undergone an 8-hour procedure immediately following her diagnosis.

The post identified the officers as Patrolman First Class James Aton and Patrolmen First Class Raymond Schoonmaker. Hall now views them as saviors, saying that she feels that they saved her life.

Without the quick actions of the officers, the outcome could have ended differently, according to the post.

The department did not release any video footage of the incident. Hall is now on the road to recovery and doing well.
