Eskom said on Sunday that load shedding will be intensified to Stages 3 and 4 during this week.
The chief operating officer of Eskom, Jan Oberholzer, told the media on Sunday that load shedding will transition to Stage 3 at 16:00 on Sunday, and then to Stage 4 the next day.

At the time of publication, the City of Cape Town had not modified its weekly timetable in response to Eskom’s announcement.
Customers in the City of Cape Town are currently experiencing Stage 2 load shedding, which will continue until Sunday at 16:00.
The fourth stage will then begin at 16:00 and go until 05:00 on Monday.
