Son of Taylor Hawkins performs with Foo Fighters during tribute concert

Shane Hawkins joined Foo Fighters onstage during a tribute concert for the late drummer at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday. The sixteen-year-old drummer performed a performance of the band’s 1997 song “My Hero.”

During the exciting performance, a screen in the background displayed images of Shane and his father.

The event was the first of two planned tributes to the 50-year-old percussionist who passed away in March. Included in the stellar lineup were Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Liam Gallagher.

Later this month, the band will perform another tribute concert in Los Angeles.

Shane Hawkins performed drums during The Alive’s performance of the same song in Laguna Beach, California, a few months ago, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.

Taylor Hawkins, who had played with Foo Fighters for 25 years, was discovered dead in his hotel room on March 25, soon before the band’s Bogota, Colombia performance.

The exact cause of death has not been disclosed, and the National Institute of Forensic Medicine is still investigating, according to the attorney general. A pee toxicological test revealed the presence of marijuana, opioids, tricyclic antidepressants, and benzodiazepines, according to officials.
