The incident happened on April 15, with up to 60 people in attendance to celebrate Alexis Dowdell’s birthday at the Mahogany Masterpiece dance studio.
Special Agent Jess Thornton said at a bail hearing that the fallen speaker prompted several partygoers to lift their shirts to show they were carrying guns.
The chaos that followed resulted in 89 bullets being fired from at least seven guns, with one person killed and six others injured.
The deceased was identified as 17-year-old Ladarius Tyrese Cardwell.
