Seoul stampede survivor shares his experience

Over 150 people were murdered this weekend in the mob surge in Seoul, South Korea, according to a guy who experienced it. He claimed he can still see “people dying in front of me.”

As of Sunday, authorities reported that a big throng pushed into an alleyway on Saturday during a Halloween party in a popular area of Seoul, killing 153 people and injuring at least 82 more.

Nuhyil Ahammed told the BBC, “People started rushing from behind; it was like a wave, and there was nothing you could do.”

According to the BBC, Ahammed said he “couldn’t sleep last night” and that he “can still see people dying in front of me.”

Social media videos of the gathering show young people crammed into the alleys having trouble breathing. For the first Halloween celebration since the COVID-19 outbreak began, according to the BBC, at least 100,000 individuals flocked to Seoul.

According to Ahammed, who said he hadn’t been to the Halloween event in the previous five years, this year’s gathering was considerably bigger than usual and there was “no crowd management,” according to the BBC.

According to Ahammed, who spoke to the BBC, “even if you remain motionless, someone pushes you from the front and someone from the rear.” It occurred a few times before I understood there was a problem and had fear that anything might go wrong.

A “lady with angel’s wings” summoned Ahammed to a step, which he was able to climb up after falling, according to Ahammed.

Ahammed reportedly said, “They began dragging victims from below,” as reported by the BBC. One man continues to do CPR on his buddy while knowing that he is dead for 30 minutes.

According to CNN, more than 90% of the crowd surge victims have been located and identified.
