Now is the moment to make courageous investments because communities all throughout the nation are still being impacted by climate change in the form of severe heat, violent storms, and other negative effects.
The vote that took place in the Senate earlier today to move forward with the Inflation Reduction Act is a significant step toward achieving President Biden’s ambitious goals of addressing the climate crisis while simultaneously reducing costs for working families and producing jobs that pay a good wage.
In order for our country to make progress toward lowering emissions, establishing environmental justice, and developing a vibrant and sustainable economy based on clean energy, the Department of the Interior will play a crucial role in the process.
