Unsettling drone footage showed a shirtless free climber going past a couple’s bedroom on the 40th story of the Shard and being captured standing atop it in bare feet.
Following his ascent of the UK’s highest skyscraper, which rises at 1,016 feet, yesterday morning, Adam Lockwood, 21, was charged with creating a public disturbance.
Amazing video has now been released from within the building by a couple who were allegedly awakened in their hotel room on the 40th floor to celebrate a birthday.
In bed, 52-year-old Paul Curphey and his spouse Treasaidh saw someone “waving at the window.”
He was beaming, waving, and clearly enjoying himself. A retail owner from the Isle of Man named Mr. Curphey remarked, “My partner felt I had pulled out all the stops and managed to persuade a person to send a box of Milk Tray for her birthday.”
Incredible drone photos that demonstrate the grandeur of the accomplishment and provide breathtaking vistas of the city as Lockwood begins his ascent to the summit have also just surfaced.
Lockwood was due to appear in court today after being accused of recklessly and intentionally causing a public nuisance.
Two more guys who had been detained with Lockwood on suspicion of producing a public disturbance were later let go.
A climber was on the Shard on September 4 when a man was charged in connection with the incident, according to a Met Police spokeswoman.
Adam Lockwood, 21 (07.06.01), of no fixed address, was accused of recklessly or willfully creating a public nuisance on Sunday, September 4.
On Monday, September 5, “He will appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court.” Two additional men who had been detained on suspicion of causing a public nuisance were released.
Additionally, completed photographs that show the extent of the drop under Lockwood have been made public.
Due to The Shard’s closeness to London Bridge Station and the discovery of the climb at approximately 5 a.m. yesterday, the area had been closed off to train passengers.
High above London’s skyline, Lockwood recounted his most recent adventure while standing topless with a headcam and no shoes on.
Adam is really serious about trying to be a good influence and promote awareness of mental health, a matter he feels very passionate about, a buddy said.
