See the second-largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere

Australia’s largest shopping centre has long been considered as a destination for tourists from all over the globe as well as Melburnians for fashion, retail, cuisine, and entertainment.

As the second-largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere and home to more than 500 businesses, including dozens of high-end brands, Chadstone draws millions of visitors every year.

Visitors can now stay, play, buy, and dine all at the same location, making it more than simply a world-class retail district.

The only five-star luxury hotel in Melbourne’s south-east that is not in the CBD is Hotel Chadstone Melbourne, MGallery by Sofitel.

The $130 million, five-star hotel, which opened in late 2019, is just 17 km from Melbourne’s central business district and 39 km from Melbourne Airport.

The 12-story hotel is the culmination of a three-year partnership between John Gandel, a co-owner of Chadstone, and the developers to make the area a “integrated lifestyle destination.”

As soon as visitors enter the hotel lobby, they are greeted with a custom digital art display.

Every one of the 250 hotel rooms has floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows with views of Melbourne’s CBD, the Dandenong Ranges, or Port Phillip Bay.

After a long day of shopping, visitors may unwind in the rooftop pool with panoramic views of Melbourne’s skyline or indulge in a restorative spa treatment at Holism Retreat, which offers everything from yoga, facials, and massages to meditation and wellness light therapy.

Everyday starting at 3 p.m., the level 12 rooftop bar Altus serves a broad selection of beverages, including wine, champagne, and cocktails, while allowing guests to take in views of Melbourne’s cityscape.

The snack bar menu also includes charcuterie and cheese boards, a dessert plate, oysters, ceviche, and spanner crab pie.

Pastore, which means “shepherd” in Italian, is the newest restaurant by famous chef and restaurateur Scott Pickett. It pays homage to the neighborhood’s history as an orchard and pasture.

Room service and a mini-bar service on demand are available around-the-clock for additional low-key eating alternatives.

Regional Victoria residents and out-of-state visitors may benefit from the hotel’s Be Our Guest overnight retreat, which costs $399 but is worth $550.

The deal includes underground parking, a classic king room for one night’s lodging for two people, and a full buffet breakfast.

Opened in late 2019, Hotel Chadstone is the only five-star hotel in Melbourne's south-east

Two Hoyts movie tickets, a $50 Chadstone gift card, and a $50 dinner voucher are also included in the package.

The meal certificate may be used at one of Chadstone’s six upscale eateries on the top floor dining precinct, where diners can choose from a wide variety of cuisines, including burgers, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Mexican, and American delights.
