The royal family will soon become considerably larger!
Tuesday, Buckingham Palace announced that Princess Eugenie and her spouse Jack Brooksbank are expecting their second child.
The couple, who are already parents to son August, will welcome their second child in the summer.
The palace issued a statement announcing that Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are expecting their second child in the summer.
“The family is overjoyed, and August is very excited to become a big brother.”
Eugenie announced the news on her own Instagram account by posting a photo of her kid caressing her stomach.
“We are overjoyed to announce that our family will be growing this summer,” she captioned the photo.
The infant will be thirteenth in line to the British throne and the third grandchild of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Eugenie’s parents.
Prince Andrew and Ferguson are grandparents to Princess Beatrice’s baby Sienna, who was born in September 2021, in addition to August.
Eugenie, 32, and her 36-year-old husband Jack welcomed their first child in February 2021. The couple tied the marriage in October 2018, nine months after Jack’s proposal.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie gave birth to a son today, February 9, 2021,” said an official palace statement at the time. The baby weighs 8 pounds and 1 ounce.
In her son’s full name, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, the princess inserted a subtle reference to her late grandfather, Prince Philip.
