On Sunday, the Mets’ spring training game against the Rays at Clover Park had some exciting moments.

Ronny Mauricio hit a massive 452-foot homer, marking his fourth homer this spring and his second of at least 450 feet.

The young player has been on fire during spring training, showing off his skills and impressing the team.

However, the game wasn’t all good news for the Mets. Joey Lucchesi had a disappointing performance, allowing three earned runs on three hits and a walk in the eighth inning.

Although he will likely serve as rotation depth, he hasn’t been ruled out as a bullpen option for the team.

There were also some impressive defensive moves during the game. Francisco Alvarez caught the eye of onlookers with his impressive snap throw from his knees to first base, picking off Gavin Collins in the third inning.

Looking ahead, the Mets are scheduled to play the Marlins in Jupiter, Fla. Tylor Megill is slated to be the team’s starting pitcher for the game on Monday.
