Rodni, 16, goes missing from a party at the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee

In the hours before she disappeared from a “drug-fueled” campground party more than a week ago, missing adolescent Kiely Rodni was wearing a pink and white hoodie, according to California authorities.

Rodni, 16, went missing from a party at the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee on August 6 and has been gone for more than a week.

Five days after her last sighting, on Thursday, she was entered into the FBI’s missing people database.

The post clarified that it's unclear whether the teen was wearing it when she was last seen, but asked anyone who remembers seeing Rodni that evening to contact the authorities

The fresh revelation comes just days after the FBI spent the day on Friday excavating a “possible burial site” that turned out to merely contain a dog corpse in response to a tip, one of 1,200 the agency has received.

Over the weekend, investigators released the details, confirming that Rodni texted her mother to say she would be returning home immediately around 12:30 a.m. on August 6 near the campground’s reservoir.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office shared a picture on social media late Sunday of a white sweatshirt that said “Odd Future” with pink writing, which detectives claim Rodni was wearing in a video taken at the party earlier on the night she vanished.

Although it wasn’t made clear in the post if the youngster was wearing it at the time of her disappearance, it urged anybody with memories of seeing Rodni that evening to get in touch with the police.

On Friday, a ground search and rescue team carried out the excavation in response to one of the 1,200 tips the FBI had received about the teen’s case.

According to Angela Musallam, the public information officer for the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, “FBI investigators searched the scene until early this morning and uncovered the remains of a dog.”

Public information officer for the Placer County Sheriff’s Office Angela Musallam stated, “Yesterday there was a probable burial place that was identified near the [Prosser Family] campsite.”

A ground search and rescue crew found it. Family of Kiely was informed of the prospective change.

Yesterday, the FBI and the sheriff’s offices from Nevada and Placer counties arrived to secure the area.

Westfall said he just wants to 'hug' her again and still believes she is 'safe' somewhere. He said: 'I really need her back. I really just need to know that she¿s safe'

The remains of a dog were found after the FBI officers searched the area till very early this morning.

The sheriff’s office and FBI are examining the situation as a potential kidnapping since Rodni’s car is still missing, thus the hunt for the adolescent is ongoing.

The last known ping from Rodni’s mobile phone was at 12:30 a.m. on August 6, according to Captain Sam Brown of the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, who spoke at the news conference on Saturday.

The phone may have continued to ping beyond 12:30 a.m. owing to lost data, he said, but the ping was close to Prosser Lake, which encircles the campsites.

The data points’ ping was received close to the ocean. It’s hard to identify precisely,” Brown added. “On land as much as it was in the ocean.”

He said, “Just because it pings there last doesn’t imply that’s where the phone stopped pinging.” There are several factors that might cause such alerts or data points to be lost.

According to her mother Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, Kiely’s last text indicated that she would be “straight home” in approximately 45 minutes.

The teenager’s friend Samantha Smith, 18, who talked with Rodni on the phone at 12.36 a.m. was the last person to hear from her. Rodni’s phone was quickly switched off.

“She phoned me at 12:36 a.m.

and this was her last conversation with anybody. “Love you, good night,” we said. Get home safely,” and that was the last we knew of her, Smith said on Monday, according to the Independent.

She was in no condition to drive, and she wouldn’t have made it far or wouldn’t have avoided an accident. At this time, we consider it to be an abduction case.

Before Rodni went to the party, which was said to be full of illicit activities including drinking, her boyfriend, Jagger Westfall, texted her to tell her to “be cautious” and “don’t do anything dumb,” he claimed last week.

At the gathering, Rodni apparently had an extremely high alcohol tolerance.

Westfall, who for unclear reasons did not attend the party, contacted her to complain about his day and received a response many hours later.

Oh, I’m sorry you’re going through that, she remarked in response to what I was saying at 10.30. Westfall told Fox 40, “And that’s the last I heard from her.”

The teen's mother (pictured) believes her daughter was abducted and is pleading for the allegedly kidnapper to bring her home

Rodni had been taught how to “get out of tricky situations” by him and her father, he said, and she would not “put her life at danger.”

“I must get her back,” I said. At this time, all I really need—and all I really want to do is give her another hug—is to know that she is safe, he said to Fox 40. I have every confidence she is still alive and healthy.

A few hours before to the party, the teen’s friend Kate Cuno stated she had hung out with Rodni and the two had cooked crème brûlée.

According to Cuno, “everything was normal.” I don’t believe she fled or anything. If there had been a little discrepancy, I would have spotted it.

A few hours before to the young teen’s disappearance at a neighbouring campsite, police published a surveillance photo of her.

Rodni is seen in the photo on Friday at 6:08 p.m. at a location in Truckee, which is 10 minutes south of the Prosser Family Campground, where she was last seen at 12.30 a.m.

The Placer Sheriff’s office tweeted the photo along with the caption, “Kiely [was] last seen wearing black spaghetti strap bodysuit, green Dickies trousers [with] black grommet belt [and] black Vans.”

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office published a new picture of Rodni on Thursday night. In it, she is seen with a crop top with spaghetti straps in black and a silver necklace.

Due to the fact that the picture was shot “recently,” deputies are now pleading with the public to pay particular attention to her jewellery.

A picture of a Lana Del Ray sweatshirt with the phrases “You don’t want to be forgotten, you simply want to vanish” was also made public by authorities earlier that day.

Authorities think she still has the sweatshirt that was “loaned” to her by a yet-unidentified individual the day before she vanished.

At 6:08 p.m. on August 5, just before she left for the campsite party, a nearby business’ video camera saw Rodni wearing a dark green Dickies trouser and a black bodysuit.

According to Rodni’s buddy, many of the teenagers at the party are wary of speaking to authorities out of concern for the repercussions, but some of them could know something that might help find Rodni.

Smith told The Sun, “I believe a lot of people were terrified to communicate.” They were breaking the law in the woods because it reminded them of a setting from Lord of the Flies.

The adolescents at the party were sometimes “fighting,” using pot, and consuming booze, according to a different source who spoke to The Sun.

Smith told The Sun, “We’ve said over and over again, we’re not looking into any of you, we’re working with you on a missing person investigation, and this isn’t about things you shouldn’t have done.”

But there are so many teenagers, how are their relationships with their parents? That makes it difficult as well.

Many of the things they’re going to say can be defined by that. Do they often conceal everything?

They are worried about the repercussions, how they will be perceived, or how their parents will react. But who cares at this point, right? We must track her down.

Numerous teenagers have come forward with video evidence, and the footage is currently being reviewed, according to Lieutenant Josh Barnhart.

The teen’s mother, Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, urged anybody with information to come forward in an internet video that was posted by the police.

Rodni-Nieman remarked, “We just want her home.” “We miss her so much, and we’re so scared.”

Just days after Rodni vanished, Rodni-Nieman told DailyMail.com that she thought her daughter had been taken and pleaded with the suspected abductor to return her home.

I’m scared, she said. My mind races, and I have dreams that I can’t stop thinking about while I sleep.

When I last saw her on Friday morning, she was planning to meet us to attend a vintage car exhibition, but she later decided she wanted to attend this party instead.

“I pushed back her curfew.” I felt secure since I had done it previously. At 11.30 p.m., she contacted me to let me know she would be departing for home at 12.15 a.m.

She said, “I love you, mum.” That was her final communication with me.

Lindsey said that she was certain her daughter would not have escaped. “My daughter is not the runaway kind,” she remarked, not wanting to stigmatise children who are. She had the means to go, and if she had wanted to, she would have.
