Robbie Coltrane, who played Harry Potter, “died of multiple organ failure” after five illnesses

On the actor Robbie Coltrane’s death certificate, multiple organ failure is listed as the cause of death, according to a recent revelation.

On October 14, the Harry Potter star died at the age of 72. He was apparently suffering from sepsis, a lower respiratory tract infection, Type 2 diabetes, heart block, and obesity at the time of his death.

Together with the organ failure, these causes contributed to his untimely death.

The Daily Star reports that Coltrane’s ex-wife Rhona Gemmell registered his death in Glasgow.

It is believed that he had been ill for some time before to his death.

It was rumored that he had major health problems earlier this year, since he was forced to withdraw from the London Comic Con in June for medical reasons.

The Scottish actor, whose real name is Anthony Robert McMillan, is best remembered for his roles as the beloved Hogwarts gamekeeper Hagrid and the criminal psychologist Dr. Eddie ‘Fitz’ Fitzgerald in the 1990s ITV drama.

Dr. Fitz earned him three consecutive Best Actor BAFTAs, as well as two BAFTA Scotland Awards. He even provided the voice for the BBC version of The Old Man of Lochnagar, a children’s tale by King Charles.

Coltrane is survived by his wife Ms. Gemmell, whom he wed in 1999, his sister Annie Rae, and their children Spencer, born in 1992, and Alice, born in 1998.

Before moving to acting, he was one of the most popular comedians in the United Kingdom. His first significant serious part was as Fitz in the ITV drama series Cracker.

During his lengthy career, he co-starred with comic and acting icons such as Julie Walters, Ben Elton, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson, and Siobhan Redmond.

Belinda Wright, Coltrane’s representative, praised him as a “special talent” and reported that the artist passed away on Friday. She added, “Please respect the privacy of Robbie’s family during this difficult time.”

In a statement, she stated, “On Friday, October 14, my client and friend Robbie Coltrane OBE passed away. Robbie was a remarkable skill.

Personally, I will remember him as an unwaveringly devoted customer. In addition to being a fantastic actor, he was forensically clever and brilliantly humorous. I shall miss him after 40 years of being honored to call myself his agent.

In his latter years, he featured less frequently in cinema and television, but he did return to be interviewed for HBO’s Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts, when he discussed how his legacy as Hagrid would endure long after he was gone.

In reference to the special, he stated, ‘The legacy of the films is that my children’s generation will show it to their children, so you could very well be viewing it in 50 years.’

Sadly, I will not be present, but Hagrid will be.

Former co-stars and coworkers began paying respect to the “one-of-a-kind” man following the shocking news of his passing.

Daniel Radcliffe recalled his Harry Potter co-star as “one of the funniest individuals” and a “outstanding actor.”

In a statement, the actor who played the lead part in the fantasy series reminisced about his time on set, stating, “Robbie was one of the funniest individuals I’ve ever encountered and used to keep us kids on set laughing constantly.”

When we were all hiding from the pouring rain for hours in Hagrid’s hut and he was telling stories and making jokes to keep morale up during Prisoner of Azkaban, I had very pleasant memories of him.

I consider myself tremendously fortunate to have met and worked with him, and I am deeply saddened by his passing. He was an outstanding actor and a gentleman.

Emma Watson, who played Hermione in the film, published a tragic comment on Instagram, in which she wrote, ‘Robbie was the most fun uncle I’ve ever had, but he was also incredibly caring and sympathetic towards me as a child and as an adult. His talent was so vast that it made sense that he portrayed a giant; his brilliance could fill ANY area.

Know that I adore and respect you. I will miss your sweetness, nicknames, warmth, laughter, and embraces terribly.

You created our family. Know that you were to us. There has never been a better Hagrid. You made being Hermione a delight.’

Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, stated on Instagram that one of his favorite Harry Potter memories was a night shoot in the forbidden forest for the first film. I was 12.

Robbie looked out for everyone in his vicinity. Effortlessly. And they were amused. Effortlessly. He was an even larger, friendlier behemoth in real life than on TV. Thank you very much for everything, man.

Warwick Davis, who co-starred with Robbie Coltrane in the Harry Potter films as Professor Flitwick, has paid homage to the ‘always joyful’ actor, who died at the age of 72.

He commented, “I was heartbroken to hear that fellow Harry Potter actor Robbie Coltrane had passed away today.

Always cheerful, he gave warmth, light, and laughter to each scene he entered. Robbie, beloved comedic titan, rest in peace.
