Rihanna has released a brand-new sneak preview of her upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance, which will take place next month.

Friday morning, the 34-year-old singer posted a teaser on social media that shows her stepping into the spotlight with fan sounds playing in the background.

In the video, one fan can be heard stating, “We’ve waited for you,” while another voice states that it has been over 2,000 days since her last live performance.

Another admirer asks “RiRi, where have you been?” after which she makes a hushing motion. Her hit song “Needed Me” is then played at the conclusion.

In the clip, Rihanna wore a yellow fur coat and ostentatious jewelry. She complemented her remarkable appearance with a splash of color and vivid cosmetics.

This Monday, the National Football League published a video of Rihanna wearing a Fenty-branded football hoodie, which she had previously posted on her Instagram story.

“[Five] weeks from now,” she teased on Instagram on January 9.

In September, Rihanna revealed that she would be performing at the Halftime Show, which will be produced by DPS, with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins serving as executive producers and Hamish Hamilton serving as the show’s director.

In 2018, the “Kiss It Better” singer was contacted to perform the Super Bowl LIII halftime performance in Atlanta.

In light of the uproar surrounding the NFL’s treatment of Colin Kaepernick, she declined the offer. Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick received both praise and criticism for kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality and social inequality.

The event was fronted by Adam Levine’s pop rock band, Maroon 5, with Big Boi and Travis Scott as special guests.

Rihanna’s headline performance will be the first to be sponsored by Apple Music, which is replacing Pepsi.

The Super Bowl 2023 will take place in Glendale, Arizona on February 12.
