Republican Senator Tim Scott alleges that Biden is compromised by China

Senator Tim Scott has criticized President Joe Biden for being soft on China and potentially being compromised by the communist nation. Scott, who is weighing a presidential run, argues that it is time for the U.S. to take a firm stand against China, calling for America to stop buying from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as this only helps to fund their rise as a world superpower.

This comes amid increasing aggression from China and worsening relations between Washington and Beijing, with U.S. lawmakers backing Taiwan’s autonomy from the CCP.

Recently, China called for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine and wants to facilitate peace talks as the war between the two nations enters its second year.

Scott alleges that all Biden does is pacify China and fails to stand up to dictators around the world. He also raised concerns about the business ties of Biden’s son, Hunter, to China, which has further highlighted the President’s handling of the Asian nation.

Chairman of the House Oversight committee, Republican Congressman James Comer, is investigating Hunter and Biden family ties to the CCP.

Scott demanded that no American business should do any business in Communist China or Russia, emphasizing that every time anyone buys a Chinese product or app or uses TikTok, the Chinese government makes money off it. Scott believes that the money that flows to the Chinese government would be used to continue building their military to defeat the U.S. and its way of life.

Scott has visited early primary states in recent weeks, considering launching a bid for President in the Republican primary. Other candidates, including former President Donald Trump, former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, and biotech multi-millionaire Vivek Ramaswamy, have also launched their bids.

Meanwhile, Republicans and national security hawks are calling on the Biden administration to impose stricter penalties on China following the revelation of their surveillance scheme through spy balloons.

China has flown these vehicles, which Beijing claims were only astray weather balloons, over 40 countries. The U.S. shot down one of these balloons over the ocean off the east coast earlier this month and discovered technology used to collect data and surveil U.S. military operations.
