Marlene Koenig, a royal specialist, told Insider that she isn’t sure if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the new Prince and Princess of Wales have changed after their short encounter.
Koenig said, “I don’t believe there has been a reconciliation. All of them must have felt excruciatingly uncomfortable, particularly when they all climbed back into one vehicle.
Given that both William and Kate and Harry and Meghan have residences in Windsor Great Park, Koenig said that she genuinely anticipated the couples to show together. Prior to the Queen’s passing, Meghan and Harry, who were in the country for charitable work, are living at Frogmore Cottage, which is close to the new home that Kate and William and their children just moved into.

Koenig said it’s doubtful that Meghan and Harry would have been part in the activities running up to the Queen’s funeral if she had passed away after they had already returned to the US.
They would have undoubtedly come back for the burial, but it’s doubtful that they would have stayed the whole time, she said.
Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex withdrew from the royal family and relocated to Montecito, California, two years ago, tensions are said to have been high between Prince Harry and his family.
Following Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, in which they claimed that members of the royal family had made racial jokes about Archie and ignored Meghan’s mental-health difficulties, their relationship grew increasingly tense. Additionally, the pair said that during the week leading up to Meghan’s wedding, Kate made her weep and that Charles had stopped returning Harry’s calls.
However, Koenig expressed her optimism that now that Charles is king, things would change.
Harry is no longer living with his grandmother since he is the younger son of the monarch, according to Koenig. Now that he is his father, he will have to play by totally new rules.
She said, “But I’m hoping there will be introspection. Harry now recognises that his father is in that situation, and it’s not a simple one.
