Rapper Dave wants headteacher fired over racial dispute

Rapper Dave, who is best known for the song Starlight, has called for the head teacher of a school where a racial incident broke out outside to quit.

The 24-year-old singer called out principal Richard Beeson, who has previously drawn criticism for his slow response.

Online videos of the altercation outside Ashford’s Thomas Knyvett College show a group of individuals kicking and punching the black victim as she lays on the ground.

Throughout the struggle, adult voices can be heard encouraging the fight and instructing the adolescent on how to be wounded.

Rapper Dave tweeted to his 850,000 followers, asking them to consider the following: “So this principle RICHARD BEESON of Ashford’s Thomas Knyvett College is going to saunter in and watch as that black youngster is ATTACKED by a crowd and they believe that can run?” HE MUST LEAVE THAT JOB IMMEDIATELY.

We will stand outside of your college’s premises until every faculty person in this video is fired, so please don’t make this strange Thomas Knyvett. BE RIGHTEOUS PRIOR TO OUR FORCING YOU TO BE SO.

Since then, many have criticized the faculty, especially the head teacher, for not acting sooner. A petition demanding for him to be “brought to book” has garnered more than 80,000 signatures.

No one from the school brought the kid back to us, the girl’s family told the Mirror. To bring her home, we had to go to her. They let her to visit a friend’s home, where she used her friend’s phone to contact us.

Do you know what wounded me the most in that film, I replied when I questioned [Mr. Beeson] in a meeting? Who’s going to stop it, I questioned?

Eventually, I said to him, “You strolled into the shot and you even permitted one more punch.”

On Wednesday, dozens of people joined a protest outside the school that was organized by Forever Family protesters wearing uniforms and body armor.

To “mobilize, organize, and centralize our community projects to empower and assist organizations with similar goals,” the organization’s mission statement reads.

A 39-year-old woman, a 16-year-old girl, an 11-year-old girl, a 10-year-old child, and a 43-year-old male were previously detained in connection with the assault.

A 15-year-old girl who is the sixth suspect is sought. She was aware that they were hunting for her, according to the police.

There was a significant attack on Monday, February 6, 2023, just after the conclusion of the school day, near to the intersection of Salcombe Road and Stanwell Road, according to a statement posted on the school’s website today.

The police were summoned, and they are still looking into the event and have made many arrests in connection with it.

The victim’s safety and care have been our top priorities, but The Howard Partnership Trust, of which Thomas Knyvett College is a member, is aware that this occurrence has sparked unrest in the larger community.

We are cooperating with all relevant authorities and take this matter very seriously. While important work is being done to gather the facts, we need to appeal for your patience and calm.

Therefore, we have decided to shut the school early today in the interests of everyone’s safety.

MailOnline contacted Mr. Beeson and the school for more feedback.

‘We are aware that this event will have caused alarm among students, parents, and faculty at Thomas Knyvett College, as well as the broader community,’ a Surrey Police spokesperson said.

“We would like to reassure you that an investigation is ongoing, five arrests have been made in relation to this event, and we are closely collaborating with Thomas Knyvett College as we examine this problem,” the statement said.

The spokesperson requested that people send links to the police rather than posting recordings of the horrifying brawl on social media.

The borough commander for Spelthorne, Inspector Maxine Cilia, expressed concern at seeing such a violent incident close to a school.

“I was astonished to see some of the video footage of this fight and the intensity of the youth violence outside one of our neighborhood schools,” the witness said.

As they leave the school grounds, “every schoolchild should feel secure in the neighborhood and not the target of any type of violence,” she stated.

Inspector Cilia stated that during the next few days, there will be more patrols in the region.

“Surrey Police are now looking into this occurrence and assembling further proof with the full assistance of the school.” There will be more patrols in this neighborhood to provide residents peace of mind and give them a chance to communicate with police.

The police are also asking anybody who may have seen the incident or who may have footage from a dashcam, helmet cam, or CCTV to contact them.

Additionally, they urged anybody who was driving or strolling along Salcombe Road on Monday between 2:00 and 3:30 p.m. to get in touch with police if they seen anything.
