Chevening is the British government’s international honors program that aims to cultivate global leaders.

Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations, Chevening offers two types of awards – Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships – whose beneficiaries are chosen by British embassies and high commissions around the world.

Be a citizen of a nation or territory qualified for Chevening.
Return to your home nation for at least two years once your award has expired.
By the time you submit your application, you must have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will allow you to enroll in a postgraduate program at a UK university. This is normally equivalent to a 2:1 honours degree in the United Kingdom, though this may vary based on the course and university chosen.
Have a minimum of two years (2,800 hours) of job experience.
Apply to three distinct qualified university programs in the United Kingdom and earn an unconditional offer from one of these institutions by July 13, 2023.

If any of the following apply, you are ineligible for a Chevening Scholarship:

Possess British or dual British citizenship (unless applying from a British Overseas Territory or holding BN(O)).
Hold refugee status in a country that is not eligible for Chevening. Applicants are eligible for a scholarship if they are nationals of a Chevening-qualified country and have refugee status in a Chevening-eligible country.

Are an employee, former employee, or relative of an employee of Her Majesty’s Government, or have been within the last two years from the opening of Chevening applications (including the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, all British Embassies/High Commissions, the Home Office, the Ministry of Defence, the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy, the Department for International Trade, and the UKVI), the British Council, or a sponsoring UK university; or have been within the last two years from the opening

Employees, former employees, or relatives of an employee of Chevening Partner organizations are eligible to apply; however, if the employment occurred within the past two years, you are ineligible to obtain a Chevening Partner Award from the same organization.
Have previously studied in the UK on a scholarship financed by the UK government.
Benefits of Chevening Scholarships

The Chevening Schedule provides chances for scholars to network with one other, alumni, the FCDO, high-profile speakers, and partner organizations through a personalized engagement programme.

Recipients of an award receive:

College tuition fees
economy travel to and from your country of residence on a route specifically designated for you
An arrival payment
Cost of an application for entry clearance (visa) for you alone
A departure allowance
A donation of up to £75 for tuberculosis testing when required.
A travel supplement allowance
A monthly personal allowance (stipend) designed to cover housing and living expenditures. The monthly stipend will vary depending on whether or not you are studying in London. These charges will be reviewed annually.
