Lagos Police Confirm Primeboy’s Involvement in Fatal Fight with Mohbad
The Lagos State Police have officially confirmed that Mohbad’s childhood friend, Primeboy, was indeed involved in a physical altercation with the performer during a show in Ikorodu.
This altercation resulted in injuries to Mohbad, ultimately leading to his tragic death.
Police Release Statement on Suspects
In a press release issued on Friday, October 6, 2023, the Lagos Police disclosed crucial information regarding the suspects detained in connection with the singer’s death.
Lagos Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa provided insight into the altercation between Primeboy and Mohbad.
Altercation at Ikorodu Show
According to the Commissioner of Police, on September 10, 2023, Primeboy attended the show in Ikorodu alongside Mohbad’s entourage.
The evening took a grim turn as a physical altercation broke out between Primeboy and the singer, resulting in injuries to Mohbad.

Additional Suspects and Charges
In addition to Primeboy’s involvement, two more suspects have been implicated in this case.
Sam Larry, along with Naira Marley, the late singer’s boss, have been charged with allegations of bullying and assault. Both individuals are currently in police custody.
