President Uhuru Kenyatta sends a message of condolence to the family of Mama Stella Wangui Wanjohi

President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent condolences to Mama Stella Wangui Wanjohi’s family, relatives, and friends, who died yesterday.

Mr. Peter Wanjohi, Secretary State Functions, was raised by retired teacher Mama Stella Wangui.

President Kenyatta praised Mama Stella as a highly accomplished teacher who made a significant contribution to the development of the nation’s educational system in his message of consolation and encouragement.

“Mama Stella will be remembered as a positive influence in the community, a strong believer, a resilient woman of substance and a loving mother who laid an enduring foundation for her family and the community,” President Kenyatta said.

The Head of State noted that many Kenyans, particularly the young women and girls she mentored, will miss Mama Stella Wangui, 75.

“In this hour of sorrow, I convey my condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the late Mama Stella Wangui Wanjohi. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time of mourning,” President Kenyatta said.

The President prayed to God to give Mama Stella Wangui’s family the strength and courage to endure the loss.
