President Bola Tinubu made an appearance at the Eid Prayers held on Wednesday in Lagos, joining fellow Muslim believers at the Obalende Eid Prayer Ground in Dodan Barracks, Victoria Island.
The occasion was marked by a warm welcome from Chief Imam Suliman Abuo-Nolla, who led the congregation in special prayers for Eid.
Return from Official Trips and Participation in Eid Prayers
President Tinubu’s attendance at the Eid Prayers follows his recent return from official visits to Paris and London, where he engaged in diplomatic matters on behalf of the nation.
He arrived back in the country on Tuesday and promptly joined the Muslim community in Lagos for the important religious observance.
Eid Prayers at the Historic Dodan Barracks
Before President Tinubu embarked on his official trips, it had been announced that he would take part in the Eid prayers at the Obalende Muslim Prayer Ground, which is situated within the historic Dodan Barracks.
This location, once the seat of the Nigerian government, holds significant historical and political significance within the country.

Although the official Sallah holiday is scheduled to conclude on Thursday, June 29, there are indications that President Tinubu might extend his stay in Lagos until the following week.
Speculations suggest that he may depart on Sunday or Monday, before returning to the nation’s capital, Abuja.
This extension could provide an opportunity for further engagements and activities in Lagos before resuming his duties in the capital.
