The shocking moment a brazen porch thief in Kansas City, Missouri stole a child’s life-saving medical equipment was captured on home surveillance video.

Since he was born with a medical issue, the infant’s mother, Susanna Elizarraraz, stated that the gift contained a canister to aid his breathing.

The robber was captured on camera leaping from the passenger seat of a white SUV and bounding toward two packages in front of a Kansas City residence.

A female porch pirate boldly hopped to the fence of a Missouri residence in order to steal a package containing life-saving equipment for a little child.

The stolen package on August 26 contained a breathing apparatus for a one-year-old child born with a medical problem.

Surprisingly, the brazen blonde burglar who stole it skipped up to the box and snatched it with obvious pleasure in her illicit activities.

After having a tracheotomy at two weeks of age, Carlos, according to his mother Susanna Elizarraraz, required the equipment. After the previous canister for the suction device became shattered, Elizarraraz ordered a replacement.

Elizarraraz told Fox4 that this is a vital component of his daily existence.

“When they steal packages from people’s porches, it may not be a Gucci bag or Jordan’s, but it may very well be people’s life-sustaining prescriptions and medical equipment, as is the situation with our son,” said the parent.

The blonde and pink-haired woman stole one of the items before fleeing with an unnamed driver.

On August 26 in Kansas City, a woman with blonde and pink hair stole vital medical equipment that helps a one-year-old breathe. Home surveillance cameras captured the moment the woman fled a white SUV without license plates. Two gifts were left at the family’s front gate, but only one was taken.

On Saturday evening, when the box was stolen, the family was not home, and the SUV had no license plates.

Juan Carlos Elizarraraz told Fox4: “That’s not fair to my son.” We must be concerned about the availability of his equipment the next time we order it.

Aunt Lala Ozaeta sent a warning in the Stolen KC Facebook group about a woman with tattoos.

Ozaeta writes, “This woman took a box expecting she was going to open it to find something of value to her.”

The Elizarraraz family has not informed police of the event.

Susanna stated that her two-week-old son relied on the apparatus following a tracheostomy. After the last suction equipment for her son’s trach became fractured, she ordered a replacement.

Saturday, while the family was away, a robber took the one-year-medical old’s equipment.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, when most Americans were confined to their houses and home deliveries became a necessity, porch pirates have been on the prowl.

The pandemic, according to Andrew Hurst, a research analyst at ValuePenguin.com, was a perfect storm for thieves.

In 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 epidemic, Hurst stated, “The quarantine has become the perfect chance for porch pirates, as home delivery orders have increased by roughly 40 percent.”

It is concerning that a large majority of Americans do not take the necessary precautions to prevent future thefts.

A survey done in July 2020, inside the first few months of the stay-at-home orders, revealed that 18 percent of Americans had been victims of package theft within the previous four months.

According to ValuePenguin.com, at the time, several consumers reported various missing items, with forty percent of stolen packages reported from apartment complexes.

Approximately 57% of these stolen shipments were Amazon deliveries.
