Police tackle four men to the floor at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration

Crowds booed up to 25 protestors as they attempted to break through security barriers on the Mall ahead of Trooping the Colour and interrupt the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

As they dashed over barriers to where the parade was to be place, police officers pounced.

As the marching band came, two of the protesters, from Animal Rebellion, were permitted to sit in the middle of the Mall.

Officers dragged them out of the path as the musicians marched past, utterly ignoring them, earning acclaim from the officers and boos from the protestors.

‘Animal Rebels disrupt the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations demanding that Royal Land be reclaimed,’ Animal Rebellion proudly tweeted minutes later.

‘This summer, we’re taking bigger action against the Dairy industry than ever before, and we need you.’

They captured the moment they leapt over the barriers and into the road on Instagram.

‘The Royal family has had decades to lead the way on a just transition to plant-based farming and has failed to do so,’ said Beau King Houston, one of those taking action.

‘This transformation is straightforward and straightforward, and we all benefit.’ Currently farmed land might be rewilded, absorbing carbon from the atmosphere in the process.

‘All in one act, this would restore nature, save billions of creatures, and provide a solution to the climate issue.’

‘The arrests were public order related for highway obstruction.’

‘A number of arrests have been made of people who attempted to enter the ceremonial path in The Mall at approximately 10.10am today,’ said a Metropolitan Police spokesman.

Some of the front-row attendees brought camping chairs, having arrived as early as 8 p.m. on Wednesday to secure the best spot.

As members of the public conversed and joked with police officers manning the perimeter, spirits were high among the crowds.

Several handcrafted signs hung from the barriers, one of which simply said “thank you.”

The traditional Trooping the Colour will be watched by devoted royalists from the famous street leading up to Buckingham Palace from Trafalgar Square.

The 1st Battalion Irish Guards, along with more than 1,500 officers and soldiers from the Household Division, will perform the military ceremony, which has been used to mark a British Monarch’s official birthday for 260 years.

The Salute will be taken by Prince Charles, Prince William, a Colonel in the regiment, and Princess Anne.

Those who aren’t lucky enough to have a spot along The Mall can watch the action unfold on giant screens in nearby St James Park, Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens, or Cardiff’s Bute Park.

The procession will feature over 350 horses and hundreds of military musicians as members of the Royal Family ride down the Mall in carriages and on horseback to Horse Guards Parade, where the ceremony will take place.

The Queen has promised to make two appearances on the Buckingham Palace balcony today, the first day of her Jubilee celebrations, in a show of the resilience that has marked her record-breaking reign.
