Police reported that a three-year-old kid died after being abandoned in a car outside a Miami preschool where both of his parents work.

According to the Miami Herald, the toddler was one of numerous kids from the same family that attend Lubavitch Educational Center in Miami Gardens.

The heat index indicated that the day’s greatest temperature would be 103 degrees Fahrenheit, despite the fact that the outdoor temperature was in the mid-90s.

The hospital confirmed that the unresponsive youngster had passed away after being transferred there.

Police questioned the boy’s father late on Monday, according to The Herald.

“Many people in our school’s community have been affected by this tragedy, which hits close to home.” Rabbi Benzion Korf, the centre’s dean, said in a brief statement released late Monday that “no words can adequately express the pain and sadness we feel.”

On Tuesday, staff and kids at the facility would have access to a therapist and a grief counsellor, according to Korf.
