Police look for suspects after 9 are shot in Cincinnati.

Following a mass shooting that left nine people injured early on Sunday in downtown Cincinnati, police are looking for at least two perpetrators.

Lt. Colonel Mike John of the Cincinnati Police Department said during a news conference on Sunday that police were sent to Main Street in the city’s downtown in response to allegations of an unruly crowd.

Police were separating two groups when fighting broke out, and according to John, at least two of the combatants drew weapons and began shooting into the crowd.

One of the gunmen was hit by a police shot and then ran away. Then, according to John, another unnamed suspect opened fire again.

Between the ages of 23 and 47, eight males and one women suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police are requesting that anybody who may have information on the suspects get in touch with them.

The gun violence on Sunday was referred to as “an awful catastrophe” by Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval.

Pureval said that what happened last night was completely inappropriate. We cannot and will not allow the gun violence in our town to continue.
