Police in the North West launch a manhunt for unknown suspects for the murder of a 40-year-old man near Klerksdorp

After a 40-year-old man was shot and killed on Friday, July 15, near Klerksdorp, the North West police have started a manhunt for unidentified suspects.

According to Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone, a spokesperson for the South African Police Service (SAPS), the incident took place at Extension 16 in Jouberton Location, a suburb of Klerksdorp.

According to the police, the victim is thought to be an Al-Qaeda gang member. According to reports, he was standing next to his car in the street and conversing with someone when a white Toyota Quantum taxi without a licence plate approached.

The police spokesperson stated that three men exited the car and “shot and killed him instantly.”

The reason for the suspected murder is yet unknown, but an investigation is being conducted. So far, no one has been taken into custody.
