Pink discusses frankly gaining and then losing 36 pounds

She had “One Loaf Too Many” bread.

Pink disclosed that she gained 36 pounds by eating sourdough bread during the COVID-19 pandemic, but she has since lost the weight and feels stronger than ever.

“Taking breaks is beneficial to my voice. “Not so good for the body,” Pink said Variety in a Wednesday interview. “During COVID in particular, I gained 36 pounds. “All I did was make sourdough and then consume it.”

The “Just Give Me a Reason” singer revealed that she also underwent hip surgery and a double disc replacement treatment in her neck, making her body’s condition much more tough.

But, Pink, 43, claims she has lost the excess weight and is now “the bionic woman.”

She shared, “I’ve lost those 36 pounds, and I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.” “And I’m ready to go [on tour], and I’m eager to leave this place. “I’ve been at home for far too long.”

In November 2021, the Grammy winner first announced her recovery after surgery.

“I am always really appreciative. “The first week was filled with tears, medication-induced depression, ulcers, and constant fevers,” she posted on Instagram at the time. “For a very independent person like myself to be rendered physically incapable and dependent, even for a few months, is humiliating.”

She said, “I am discovering the gift of accepting assistance. My trip will be swift and purposeful, and I will heal completely. For this I am really fortunate.”It has not been an easy few years for Pink, who shares two children with her husband, Carey Hart: daughter Willow, 11, and son Jameson, 6.

Early in 2020, she and Jameson contracted severe bouts of COVID-19, while Hart, 47, fought a chest infection that required a catheter last year.

“Wow, this is awful. I discovered I have an infection in some ancient body hardware a few days before Christmas,” the professional rider stated on Instagram last month. “After enduring a stressful holiday season, this tunneled catheter was implanted in my chest. Now, for the following 41 days, I must inject medications to eliminate this parasite.”

Prior to contracting the infection, Hart had neck surgery to fuse vertebrae and address an issue with his joints.

The family also experienced the death of Pink’s father, who passed away in 2021 due to prostate cancer.

“I am aware that I sometimes have a propensity to dwell on the negative. In a recent interview with Women’s Health, Pink reflected on her relationship with her late father: “I want to try to hold on to the good; there was a lot of good.”

While recording her new album, “Trustfall,” Pink was allowed to explore her emotions.

In a new interview with Variety, she stated, “I feel like we’re all in a constant state of overwhelm, so we repress our emotions to get through the day.” “I desired to reconnect with the truth and genuine emotions.

“…That’s the kind of person I am,” she continued. “How much time do you have if you ask how I’m doing?”

On Friday, “Trustfall” will be released.
