The Funeral Service Of the late Nigerian Leader, Ernest Shonekan is ongoing at his residence.
The late Shonekan died on January 11th, 2022 in Lagos.
He was 85-years old at the time of his death.
He was the interim head of the Nigerian Government between August 26 and November 17 1993 when he was ousted in a coup led by late General Sani Abacha
The statement read, “Burial Arrangements For Late Chief Dr. Ernest Shonekan, GCFR, lol CBE, Former Head of State, Federal Republic of Nigeria (1993).

Present at the funeral service is the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha representing the Federal Government.
