Philadelphia Catholic Church finds 18-inch pipe bomb

Police in Philadelphia say a homemade pipe bomb was discovered behind a Catholic church on Sunday afternoon.

According to Fox News, which cited local officials, the 18-inch PVC pipe bomb was discovered by a bystander at the St. Dominic Catholic Church at about 1:40 p.m.

According to the complaint, the gadget had sealed ends and an unidentified black substance on it.

While the city’s bomb squad hurried to the area, nearby streets were closed off, according to the source.

The explosive was transported to the bomb squad’s headquarters safely from the city’s Holmesburg neighborhood. Police stated there were no reported injuries.
