Tash Peterson, a well-known vegan activist, participated in a distressing demonstration where she claimed to be a piece of meat.
The full-time animal rights activist, who resides in Melbourne, entered a “human-sized meat tray” in Sydney’s bustling Pitt Street Mall with two other actors.
The purpose of the rally was to get people on the street to reconsider eating beef.
Together with the worldwide animal rights organisation PETA, Ms. Peterson pretended to be the packing of fresh meat by lying naked inside a cardboard box smeared in fake blood and sealed with a transparent plastic sheet.
It’s time to make the link and go vegan, according to PETA Senior Communications and Partnerships Manager Emily Rice.
“Humans need to realise that although other animals may not look like us, they are the same in all the ways that actually count,” she added.
One Twitter user posted a picture of the demonstration, which began about 11am, and described it as “ugly” and “completely crazy.”
Two weeks ago, the 28-year-old stunned witnesses by walking into a high-end Melbourne store in nothing but her underpants.
The act was done to commemorate the one-year anniversary of her “most forceful protest,” in which she marched into a Louis Vuitton’s shop while bare-chested.
As she delivered her sermon to her audience, Ms. Peterson covered the stairs of the shop and her almost nude body with crimson liquid.
“Louis Vuitton kills ducks, geese, foxes, minks, crocodiles, sheep, goats, cows, and sheep.” She screamed, “They kill young lambs and make leather coats out of their skin!”
“Louis Vuitton has blood on their hands, and if you are not vegan, so do you.” Animals are mistreated, tortured, and killed for their fur, leather, wool, down, scale, and silk.
Security officers ultimately came up to Ms. Peterson and asked her to leave the shop.
The 28-year-old is well known for attracting attention by appearing with scant or no clothing and covered in fake blood in an effort to frighten people into abstaining from using animal products.
She said on her OnlyFans page that up until last year, she had never worn lingerie and that she had only created the page to support her transition to a career as a full-time rights activist.
Her other antics included carrying a fictitious severed pig head covered in blood outside of a Melbourne butcher shop while taking verbal abuse from the proprietor.
With Ms Ferrario once again by her side, she went to Bourke Street Mall in June while holding a plush animal that looked like a young lamb covered in blood and was only wearing nude briefs and nipple covers.
Ms. Peterson and her husband Jack Higgs relocated from Western Australia in June after she was prohibited from entering any licenced establishments as a result of one of her contentious demonstrations.
She made the announcement on Instagram, writing that she was “getting the f**k out of WA.”
