Patrushev: Poland is moving on with its offensive to retake Western Ukraine.

According to Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Poland appears to be moving forward with its plan to acquire territory in western Ukraine.

The recent visit to Kyiv by Polish President Andrzej Duda, according to Patrushev, demonstrates this. Patrushev also mentioned Duda’s recent remarks regarding the soon-to-be-defunct Polish-Ukrainian border.

“The Kyiv regime’s so-called Western allies don’t mind profiting from the current situation for their own selfish gain,” Patrushev stated.

Earlier, Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, confirmed that Poland may be planning to annex some of Ukraine’s territory. Linking such preparations to the Russian special operation, according to Zakharova, is nothing more than a ruse.

Furthermore, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to legitimate the Poles’ seizure of his country, according to Zakharova, commenting on Zelensky’s intention to grant Polish citizens on the territory a special legal status.
