The Chiefs’ postseason has gotten off to a terrible start.
After throwing a ball late in the first quarter, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes seemed to injure his ankle. The right ankle of Mahomes seemed to be fractured after Jaguars defender Arden Key landed on his lower leg from behind.
Mahomes limped to the sideline, had his ankle bandaged between the first and second quarters, and continued to play. However, he left the field and was replaced by Chad Henne for the team’s most recent possession. The Chiefs have listed his return as uncertain.
In the second quarter of the AFC divisional-round showdown, the Chiefs lead the Jaguars, 10-7, on the strength of a touchdown and a field goal.
