Participate in Canon’s “Capture the action” photography competition

In conjunction with Pan African Visions, one of the top media organisations on the African continent, Canon, a pioneer of cutting-edge imaging technology, announces its most recent photography competition, “Capture the Action,” for aspiring photographers in Africa.

Canon is giving folks a chance to show off their skills and utilise the power of visual storytelling through this competition.

The contest is looking for photographs that showcase the highs and lows, huge successes and minor victories of athletes and performers throughout Africa.

African photographers must be at least 18 years old to enter the competition.

The “Capture The Action” competition offers the possibility to document the amazing moments of athletes in motion and track their progress.

In addition, it honours the sports photographers who cover African athletes.

By using the hashtag #CelebrateAfrica, we’re giving the community of storytellers a platform to share user-generated content across social media.

Canon wishes to highlight instances of athletic brilliance, triumph, and glory with this competition, which will continue through the 31st of July and is focused on the genre of sports photography this month.

The purpose of “Capture the action” is to highlight the celebrities, their performances, and the daring tales that led to their success.

According to Amine Djouahra, Director of Sales and Marketing for Canon Central and North Africa, the competition honours Africa’s contributions to sports and highlights inspirational stories of athletic success.

“Canon has always been at the cutting edge of innovation and technology as a brand.

This competition is the pinnacle of technological innovation and superhuman performance, exceeding all expectations.

As several major sporting events are held in various African nations, we anticipate seeing some incredible action documented from the continent.

The best sports photography images entered in this event in July have a chance to win some incredible prizes, and they will be chosen by a special judging panel hand-selected for this competition, as well as by public vote.

The following three prizes are being offered by Canon:

Canon EOS R5, Canon EOS R7, and a Canon PRO 200 printer were awarded the top three prizes.

Canon invites people across Africa to share their best sports photographs.

Anyone who wants to take part can do so by contributing an original image that satisfies the competition’s requirements.
