Parler unintentionally leaks VIP email addresses

Ivanka Trump and Kimberly Guilfoyle were among the 198 VIP customers whose email addresses Parler unintentionally disclosed.

The error occurred when Ye, a rapper, decided to purchase the pro-free speech app on Tuesday.

Users who were considered VIPs received a group email gushing over the purchase. However, the carbon copy (cc) function rather than the blind carbon copy (Bcc) function was used to add the recipients’ addresses to the email.

That implies that everyone who got the email might view the email addresses of everyone else who also received it.

Eric and Ivanka Trump, Don Jr.’s suspected fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Eric’s wife Lara were among the VIPs whose contact information was made public.

James O’Keefe, the creator of Project Veritas, as well as Elise Stefanik, a congresswoman, and Kristi Noem, the governor of South Dakota, were also named.

Additionally, the email addresses of Charlie Kirk, Jack Posobiec, Dan Bongino, and Candace Owens, whose husband is the platform’s CEO, George Farmer, are conservative commentators and influencers.

Some of the emails came from official government accounts, while others linked people to certain political positions, like those held by Ted Cruz and Matt Gaetz.

Josh Levine, the company’s COO, made the following apologies after the unintentional leak:

‘Earlier today, we informed you of Ye’s intention to buy Parler.

We accidentally put your email address in the CC box rather than the BCC field during the excitement.

He remarked, “To say we’re very mortified is an understatement.”

To make matters worse, several of those contacted claimed to have abandoned Parler long ago. In response to allegations that the social media behemoth was limiting conservative users, it was founded in 2018 as an alternative to Twitter.

But after an early rush to sign up, the app was momentarily shut down, and since it was reopened, it has failed to recapture its momentum.

TruthSocial, which Donald Trump founded as a Twitter competitor, has had a passable amount of popularity. The majority of conservatives who haven’t been banned continue to use Twitter, which has up to 236 million daily users, as opposed to the estimated 40,000 conservatives who use Parler daily.

Prior to my 2020 race, Parler contacted me and I cooperated with him, according to Florida congressional candidate Anna Paulina Luna, who spoke to Politico. Since I worked in the media, they gave me a badge to prove that my account was the legitimate one in order to prevent impersonator accounts.

I haven’t talked to anybody at the organization in a few years since I prefer Instagram as my main method of contact and did not like Parler’s user interface, she said.

Another Republican whose address was included in the disclosed list said that after speaking with an app salesperson at an event, he received an email from the company stating, “Oops, so sorry.” Everybody on our list received your email.

Farmer, whose father sits in the British House of Lords, said that talks with Ye about purchasing Parler started at Paris Fashion Week, when his wife Owens made an appearance with the rapper while wearing the contentious “White Lives Matter” t-shirt.

Farmer is cited as saying: “This agreement will alter the globe, and transform the way the world thinks about free expression,” in the first West takeover announcement.

Ye is forging new ground by entering the field of free speech media, and he will no longer have to worry about getting banned from social media.

Ye once again demonstrates his superiority over the narrative being promoted by the traditional media. Parlement will be proud to assist him in achieving his objectives.

Parker’s parent business is Parlement Technologies.

‘Ye is not just a music and clothing powerhouse, but like Parler, he has experienced irrational and needless censorship and cancellation by Big Tech,’ Farmer wrote in a message to app users on Monday. He is as passionate about independent thinking and free speech as Parler is.

“Parler will continue to be a place where everyone may talk freely, listen, and think.” He said, “We will keep up the struggle against dictatorship, cancel culture, and censorship.

West has recently generated a great deal of controversy as a result of many anti-Semitic remarks he made on various platforms, which prompted businesses like Instagram and Twitter to suspend his accounts.

Farmer repeatedly refused to answer if Parler would or would not let West to publish the same kind of anti-Semitic remarks during a Stuart Varney interview on Fox Business.

Ye would eventually be the “controller,” according to Farmer, after the commercial partnership is over.

West has vowed to commit “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.”

The ironic thing is that black people are truly Jews, therefore I can’t be anti-Semitic. In addition to spreading various other derogatory stereotypes about Jews, he said, “You people have used me and attempted to black ball everybody that opposes your agenda.”
