Overconfident Newcastle united fan gets disappointed after his team loss renders his leg tattoo meaningless

A British soccer fan got a celebratory tattoo on his leg ahead of a key match, only for his team to lose and shatter his hopes. Kris Cook, 31, got “NUFC Cup winners 26/02/23” and the club chant “Tell me ma me ma” inked on his skin in anticipation of Newcastle United’s possible win in the Carabao Cup final. Despite his tattoo artist’s reservations, Cook went ahead with it.

However, Newcastle United lost to Manchester United 2-0, and the disappointed fan decided not to remove the tattoo. Cook planned on changing the date if and when Newcastle finally wins a domestic trophy again.

The last time the team won a domestic trophy was in 1955. Cook’s family was unhappy with the presumptuous tattoo, but his friends found it funny.
